Your Brow Lamination Questions, Answered
-
Brow lamination is a treatment that smooths, softens, and restructures your natural brow hairs, allowing them to be styled into a fuller, more lifted, and polished shape. The result is beautifully groomed brows that are easier to style and maintain each day.
-
Not when performed by a trained professional! We carefully customize every treatment and closely monitor processing times to ensure your brows remain healthy and are never over-processed. The health of your natural brows is always our top priority.
-
Some clients experience mild redness around the brow area immediately after treatment, but this typically subsides within 30 minutes to an hour. If you have very sensitive skin or a history of allergies or reactions, please let us know before your appointment. We can discuss your concerns and take additional precautions to ensure the safest and most comfortable experience possible.
-
If you’ve had a brow lamination before and know how your skin responds, many clients choose to have the service during the second or third trimester. However, because pregnancy can increase skin sensitivity—and treatment options for allergic reactions may be limited—we always recommend speaking with your healthcare provider before your appointment. For the greatest level of caution, we do not recommend brow lamination during the first trimester.
-
With proper aftercare, most brow laminations last around 6 weeks, although results may vary depending on your natural brow growth cycle and lifestyle.
-
That’s completely up to you! Brow tinting is optional. We do like clients to know that the lamination process can sometimes slightly lighten the brow hairs. Adding a tint can restore depth, create more definition, and make styling even easier—but we’ll always customize your appointment based on your preferences.
-
Most clients schedule a brow lamination every 6 weeks. To keep your brows looking their best year-round, we recommend alternating between a brow lamination and a brow shaping appointment every three weeks. We do not recommend scheduling brow laminations less than four weeks apart to help maintain the health of your brow hairs.
-
For your skin’s health and comfort, we do not perform waxing or sugaring during the same appointment as a brow lamination. Because the lamination process uses active lotions that can temporarily make the skin more sensitive, combining these services may increase the risk of irritation. We recommend scheduling your brow shaping 48 hours before or after your lamination, or maintaining a routine of alternating brow shaping and brow lamination appointments every three weeks.
-
Brow lamination is an excellent option for anyone with unruly, downward-growing, uneven, coarse, or sparse brows. It’s also perfect for clients with naturally full brows who simply want more structure and easier daily styling. Whether your goal is fuller-looking brows, a cleaner shape, or improved symmetry, brow lamination can be customized just for you.
-
Only if that’s the look you love! Brow lamination is completely customizable. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your eyebrow goals and create a look that complements your facial features and personal style. Whether you prefer soft and natural or bold and fluffy, we’ll help you achieve brows that feel like the best version of your own.
-
Yes. Retinoids, exfoliating acids, and other active skincare products can make the skin around your brows more sensitive. We recommend discontinuing these products for 5–7 days before and after your brow lamination to help minimize irritation and support healthy skin.
-
To allow your brows to fully set, avoid getting them wet, swimming, excessive sweating, steam rooms, and saunas for the first 24 hours after your appointment.

While castor oil is often associated with hair care, it isn’t our recommended aftercare product for freshly laminated brows. Heavy oils can weigh down the brow hairs and may affect your lamination results. Instead, we recommend Elleeplex Advanced Aftercare, which is specifically formulated to nourish and condition the brow hairs while helping maintain your results. Regular use also supports healthier, stronger-looking brows over time.
